Senior Production Support Engineer - Roncq (H/F/X)
DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY
Tissium is a mission-driven medical device company founded in 2013, headquartered in Paris, with a production facility in Roncq (near Lille) and an office in Boston. We are dedicated to creating a new era of body repair by leveraging our biopolymer platform to develop new, innovative solutions in surgery for a positive impact on patients' lives.
Tissium's technology is based on research and intellectual property from the laboratories of Professor Robert Langer (MIT) and Professor Jeffrey M. Karp (Brigham and Women's Hospital), who co-founded the company with Christophe Bancel (CEO) and Maria Pereira (Chief Innovation Officer).
We are developing polymers for atraumatic tissue repair in various applications. Today, these polymers are used for structureless nerve repair, hernia repair and cardiovascular sealing
Since our inception, we have raised a total of 170 million euros. Our latest fundraising round, which concluded in April 2023, resulted in 50 million euros in additional funding. This infusion of capital provides us with the necessary resources to finance the commercialization of our first products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Production Support Engineer plays a key role in achieving the department's strategic objectives. They contribute to continuous improvement by implementing initiatives, leading quality investigations related to deviations, and ensuring the implementation of corrective or preventive actions. Additionally, the Production Support Engineer ensures the smooth running of production activities by collaborating with operational teams and managing and providing support during production incidents.
Additional responsibilities encompass:
- Participating in multidisciplinary projects, such as cost reduction and the search for improvements aimed at increasing efficiency and yield,
- Ensuring the monitoring of critical process parameters, performance analysis, and operational activities tracking,
- Consolidating production documents and practices in collaboration with the quality department,
- Investigating and participate in the implementation of corrective actions necessary to close non-conformities on time,
- Being a key player in continuous improvement within the department: Monitor and analyze the performance of key KPIs, take charge of projects aimed at continuous improvement of activities contributing to the achievement of the department's strategic objectives (Capacity, Efficiency, EHS, Quality, etc.),
- Coordinating the launch of special manufacturing,
- Supporting internal and external audit activities (Preparation and implementation of corrective actions),
- Support validation activities: URS, FAT, SAT IQ, OQ, PQ,
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, Data Integrity & EHS rules.
REPORTING
This position will report to the Production Manager.

- Microsoft Office: Basic
- Knowledge of Sage is a big plus
BACKGROUND
- BAC +4/5 in engineering, or equivalent through experience,
- 5 –7 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment or Medical device industry,
- Able to manage multiple priorities - demonstrates effective personal management,
- Self-control in stressful situations
- Capable of impartially analysing the performance of production lines
- Capable of analysing and solving problems using a structured approach (DMAIC…) and providing sustainable solutions.

HIRING PROCESS
- The journey starts with an interview with Talent Acquisition Manager (30 mins)
- Then a face-to-face (virtual) meeting with the Manager of the department you are applying to join (1 hour)
- This will then be followed by a technical interview or business case to validate your practical job-related skills (1 hour)
- For the very final round, you will be invited to an on-site interview to meet other teams in Tissium for a team and culture fit interview.
