Innovation & Strategy Manager M/F/X
Tissium is a mission-driven medical device company founded in 2013, headquartered in Paris, with a production facility in Roncq (near Lille) and an office in Boston. We are dedicated to creating a new era of body repair by leveraging our biopolymer platform to develop innovative solutions in surgery for a positive impact on patients' lives.
Tissium's technology is based on research and intellectual property from the laboratories of Professor Robert Langer (MIT) and Professor Jeffrey M. Karp (Brigham and Women's Hospital), who co-founded the company with Christophe Bancel (CEO) and Maria Pereira (Deputy CEO & Chief Innovation Officer).
We are developing polymers for atraumatic tissue repair in various applications. Today, these polymers are used for sutureless nerve repair, hernia repair, and cardiovascular sealing.
Since our inception, we have raised more than 200 million euros, including 60 million euros in new financing announced in June 2026. This capital supports the US commercial rollout of COAPTIUM® CONNECT, our FDA-authorized sutureless nerve repair system, and the development of our pipeline.
ROLE SUMMARY
As TISSIUM moves from its first commercial launch to a multi-indication portfolio, the Strategic Marketing Manager, Innovation & New Products builds the market and business case for the next clinical applications of our biomorphic polymer. Based in Paris within the Innovation & New Concepts team, the role turns clinical needs and customer insights into market models, positioning, claims and launch-readiness inputs, partnering with Development, Commercial and Management, as well as clinicians and external advisors. A unique opportunity for an analytical, market-minded strategist to shape the future pipeline of a fast-growing medtech, from opportunity assessment to launch planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess the strategic fit of TISSIUM technology in target clinical areas, defined with the Head of Innovation & Strategy.
Build market models and full market analyses to prioritize target indications: market sizing, segmentation and targeting, competitive landscape, product positioning and downstream risks (regulatory, reimbursement, adoption, claims substantiation).
Build the business case and launch-readiness inputs (market model, evidence gaps) to help Commercial develop the required dossiers and drive a successful launch.
Identify and interview key customers (clinicians, purchasing and reimbursement stakeholders) and translate their input into product requirements, positioning and value propositions.
Define potential product claims and value messaging per indication, lead claims validation and shape evidence generation plans with cross-functional teams.
Investigate clinical needs in depth: (patho)physiology, treatment pathway, complications and existing solutions.
Run bibliographic reviews to validate clinical need, market size, value and claims, and feed them into project prioritization and business planning.
Collaborate with Innovation & Strategy, Development and Commercial teams on new projects, from concept through development and launch planning.
Define scope, milestones, resourcing and budget for approved projects with key stakeholders.
Identify and engage external advisors and clinicians to drive program success.
Present clinical need analyses, market prioritization, claims and evidence status, and business implications to the Project Team and Management.
Apply all regulatory requirements in place at TISSIUM, in line with our Quality Management System.
